

Assistance with self-administration of medication
At JBH, before our employees can assist with the self-administration of medications, there are specific abilities that must be performed by them. These abilities include:
- Read and understand a prescription label.
- Know approved abbreviations our organization uses and use only those.
- Assist with oral (mouth), topical (skin), ophthalmic (eye), otic (ear) nasal (nose), and inhaled forms of medications.
- Measure liquid medications, break scored tablets, or crush tablets as directed.
- Recognize when to clarify an “as needed” prescription order.
- Recognize an order that requires judgment or discretion.
- Safely store medications.
- Complete a medication observation record or other required documentation.
- Recognize general signs of adverse reactions to medications and report such reactions.

Individual and Group Counseling
Individual counseling at JBH is a one-on-one discussion between the counselor and the resident(s). The resident and counsellor form an alliance, relationship or bond that enables trust and personal growth. Individual counseling service at JBH is aimed at helping our resident(s) to cope with addiction, mental health, and trauma and with stresses; conditions that can cause anxiety and depression. It’s about helping resident(s) to heal from the negative things that have happen in their everyday life, such as losses, separation and divorce, family conflict, violence or abuse. Our program can assist in coping with stressful life situations, work/school problems, grief, and emotional distress or relationship difficulties. This aligns with our company slogan – “We Care, Get Better, and Not Bitter’’.
Our Group counseling program brings together residents facing the same or similar issues and/or concerns. This program is intended to create an atmosphere where these residents can work together. Because JBH operates a behavioral residential facility treatment center, our group counseling program falls in place for we touch the lives of resident(s) suffering from addiction and mental health disorders. The individuals in the group act as a source of insight and support while reinforcing the idea that each individual is not the only one experiencing these problems. This program is intended to:
- Have our residents learn from each other,
- Have our residents be able to practice new interpersonal skills in group,
- Have our residents hear a range of perspectives from the group members,
- Have our residents learn problem-solving skills,
- Enable an environment where residents give and receive feedback, and peer support,
- Have residents come of their isolation’ and
- Have residents get an opportunity for validation

Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
JBH’s ADLs program is intended for residents to acquire daily living skills and be able to carry out their personal activities once they get back to their various communities after treatment. ADLs are those personal functional activities required by residents for continued well-being including eating/nutrition, dressing, personal hygiene, mobility, toileting, and behavior management. Our residential community home(s) makes the provision of room, board, care and services that assist our resident(s) with ADLs.

Provision of recreational and Socialization activities
These programs provide an opportunity for the residents to interact with others and participate in leisure time activities. These programs are designed to enable JEZZOB BEHAVIORAL HEALTH (JBH) residential facility residents to attain and maintain physical and mental well-being through programs of regular physical activity, exercise, music therapy, art therapy, and dance-movement therapy. Prior to admission of our population to JBH premise(s) for board and room services, a service-specific assessment shall be performed on each potential resident that determines whether the individual is eligible for the service, the amount of the individual’s service specific need, and the individual’s level of priority for service delivery; that way, helping JBH in streamlining recreational and socialization activities to fit each resident.

Transportation to and from physician offices
JEZZOB BEHAVIORAL HEALTH (JBH) residential facility will provide assistance with coordinating the transportation for residents to medical and mental health appointments that are not life-threatening, shopping and group outings. In the event where JBH is unable to provide transportation services, residents will be encouraged to use Medicare cover medical transportation services at their disposal. Residents or their legal representatives are responsible for the charges for any emergency transportation utilized should payee or private insurance not cover the fees or cost.

Provision of Board and Room Services
We provide 24-hours services to our residents with a safe and healthy living environment that meets the physical needs of our population. Our provision of board and room services encompasses:
- Personal sleeping accommodations;
- The provision of all daily nutrition and three (3) healthy meals and snacks as
appropriate; - The provision of household supplies;
- Physical and private accommodations for members to perform daily personal hygiene;
- The provision of basic personal hygiene supplies;
- Sufficient provision of storage space for the resident’ personal use and safekeeping of
their personal belongings; - Physical accommodations sufficient to afford a comfortable and safe environment for
all activities of daily living in a home; and - Privacy

Personal Care Services
JBH provides Personal Care Services (PCS), which is a Medicaid benefit that helps our residents with everyday tasks. These tasks are called activities of daily living (ADL) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADL). Some of the personal care services we provide to our population are:
- Assisting with personal care – bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and exercise
- Basic food preparation – preparing meals, shopping, housekeeping, laundry
- General health care – overseeing self-administration of medications, appointment reminders
- Mobility assistance – help with getting in-n-out of wheelchair, car or shower
- Personal supervision – providing constant companionship and encourage use of bell to call for assistance
- Transportation – driving to and from appointments
- Health monitoring – following a care/treatment plan, noticing any changes in individual’s health, recording and reporting during any changes
- Home organization – cleaning of living space
